Shalimar Agro

We are based at Keshopur Village Subzi mandi 46. This place starts very early in the morning. Sometimes we are here before the sun is even up. There are trucks full of vegetables and fruits everywhere. It is very loud and everyone is shouting to get things moved. We have a spot at number 46 where we do our business. It is mostly sacks of stuff and crates. The floor is often wet because of the produce. We wear old clothes because things get dirty fast. Shalimar Agro has been in this mandi for a long time. We know the farmers who bring their goods here. We spend our time counting bags and making sure everything is in the right place. By the afternoon, the market starts to quiet down and we can finally sit for a bit. We have a small corner where we keep our bags and a bottle of water. It is not a clean place like a mall, it is a real market. The air smells like onions and earth. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where to find us in Keshopur. We deal with what comes in each day and try to get it out to the retailers. It is hard work but we are used to the noise and the long hours. It gets really muddy when it rains.
