Sensation Exports

Sensation Exports is tucked away in A-407, Somdutt Chamber 1 at Bhikaiji Cama Place. This building has seen a lot of years, and our office on the fourth floor has been our home for most of them. Bhikaiji Cama Place is a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it, with all the different chambers and levels. Our room isn't very big, and we’ve filled it with filing cabinets and desks that have seen better days. We work on exports, mostly dealing with the logistical side and making sure all the customs documents are in order. It’s a lot of sitting and staring at screens, but we try to take breaks and walk around the complex. The elevators in Somdutt Chamber 1 are notoriously slow, so we often end up taking the stairs if we’re in a hurry. We don’t go in for fancy marketing or trying to look bigger than we are. We just do the export work we know how to do. Sometimes the power goes out in the building and we all just sit around and talk until it comes back on. It’s a very human way to work, I think. We’ve gotten to know the other people in the building over the years, from the tea sellers to the other small offices nearby. It’s a decent place to spend our working hours. We just focus on getting the daily tasks done without too much fuss.
