Saraswati Commercial College

You can find Saraswati Commercial College right on the first floor of Shop No.1 on Najafgarh Road. If you know Nangloi, you know how noisy and busy it gets down there on the street. We’ve been in this spot in Delhi 110041 for quite some time now. It’s a small place, mostly just a few rooms with desks and equipment for people looking to learn commercial skills. People come in to get better at typing or shorthand or basic office work. It’s not a big campus with a canteen or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where you come, do your work, and leave. We spend most of our day helping students get their speed up or checking their exercises for mistakes. Being on the first floor means we hear the traffic all day, but you get used to it after a week. The stairs are a bit narrow, so everyone has to be careful when it's crowded between batches in the evenings. We don't have a lot of staff, just a couple of us who know the subjects well enough to teach them. It’s a regular shop-front type of college. No big signs or fancy lights, just the name on the board outside. Most of our students live nearby in the Nangloi area or take the bus down Najafgarh Road. It's a simple, honest place to pick up some skills that might help with a job later on. We stay open late sometimes to accommodate people working day jobs. It’s just how we run things here in Delhi.
