Sanganer Beej Bhandar

Sanganer Beej Bhandar is located over in Najafgarh, specifically at Habbat Pura J-830. Most of the people who come in here are farmers or people with small kitchen gardens at their homes. We deal mostly with seeds, as the name suggests. Depending on the season, the shop looks completely different. In one month we might be stacked with wheat seeds, and then a few months later, it is all about vegetable seeds like okra or tomato. It is a dusty kind of job because the bags are heavy and sometimes they leak a bit on the floor. We spend a lot of time talking to people about the soil and when the rain might actually start this year. We are not experts with fancy degrees, but we have been doing this long enough to know what grows well around here. The shop is not very large, so we have to use every inch of space, even stacking things up near the ceiling. Sometimes it is hard to move around in there when we have a big delivery from the suppliers. We do not have a website or any social media pages. People just walk in or call us on the phone to see if a certain type of seed has arrived yet. It is a slow-paced kind of place compared to the busy city center. We just open the shutters, sweep the floor, and wait for the regulars to stop by for a chat and their supplies.
