We’re up on the second floor at F 19 in the Dilshad Colony market area. It’s right on the main road, so it’s pretty easy to find once you get into the colony. We are quite close to Kapoor Nursing Home and the New Seemapuri Depot, which are the big landmarks we always tell people to look for. Being in a market area means there is constant noise and the smell of street food, which is just part of the daily life here in Delhi. Our office is filled with surveying equipment and stacks of old maps and reports. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of gear, but it works for us. We spend a lot of our time out in the field doing the actual surveying, so when we’re in the office, it’s mostly to write things up. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep, but we’re used to it. Dilshad Colony is a crowded place, and the parking is almost always a struggle, but we like being in the middle of things. We’ve been doing this for a long time and don't really feel the need to have a shiny, modern office. It’s a practical space where we get the technical work done. We’re just a small group of people who know our way around a survey map and the local streets of Delhi and Ghaziabad. We just keep at it every day.
