We are tucked away in Flat No 4, Type 2, over at the South Campus of the University of Delhi in Dhaula Kuan. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for an office, but it works for us. The area is quite green and a lot quieter than the main city roads, which is a nice change of pace. We are part of Bechtel India and we handle a lot of the back-end engineering and coordination work from here. The office itself is essentially a residential flat that’s been converted, so it feels very personal and lived-in. There isn't a big sign outside or a lobby. You just walk in and see us working at our stations. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and talk about the day. It’s a very human way to work. We don't have corporate slogans or polished marketing materials lying around. We just have our folders, our computers, and a lot of work to get through. The commute to Dhaula Kuan is okay for most of us, and being near the university gives the area a good energy. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized. It’s a simple, honest environment where we can concentrate without the distractions of a big commercial hub. It suits the way we like to do things. We keep it quiet and just focus on the engineering details that matter.
