We are located at 130 Mohammadpur, which is tucked right behind the big Bhikaji Cama Place. Even though the big office buildings are just a stone's throw away, our street has a much more local feel to it. The clinic is in a plain building and we have a small sign so people don't walk past it. Inside, the space is divided into a waiting area and the work area where the dental chairs are. It’s a bit of a tight fit, but we’ve made it work for years. We spend our days dealing with teeth and talking to the people who work in the nearby offices or live in the village area. The lighting inside is quite bright because we need to see what we are doing, but it can feel a bit stark. We have a small desk where we keep our appointment book and a phone that rings more often than we expect. Sometimes we get a bit backed up if a patient has a complicated issue, so the waiting room gets full. We try to keep some old newspapers around to keep people occupied. It’s a straightforward dental office with no extra frills. We just do our jobs and then head home when the sun sets. The neighborhood is usually full of people walking to the metro or grabbing lunch, so there is always energy outside our door.
