Chinmay Shashank

Our space is at No. 213- B Shahpur Jat, which is a bit of a maze if you aren't familiar with these lanes. Chinmay Shashank is located right in the middle of all the noise and construction that always seems to be happening here. It’s a busy area with a lot of creative people running around, but we just try to stick to our own corner. The stairs leading up to our unit are quite narrow, so moving large boxes is always a struggle. We’ve got fabrics and patterns scattered across the tables most of the time. It’s not a very big room, so things tend to pile up quickly. We have a couple of fans going to keep the air moving because it gets pretty stuffy in the afternoons. Sometimes we forget to even look out the window because we are so focused on what’s right in front of us. We don't have a receptionist or anything; if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it’s how we’ve always operated. We don't put much stock in being corporate or looking fancy. We just wear our regular clothes and do the work that needs to be done. It’s a lot of long hours, but we like being in Shahpur Jat despite the parking being a nightmare and the constant hustle in the street.
