People often ask how long we’ve been at B-4/160-b in Safdarjung Enclave, and honestly, I lose track of the years. Markey Exports is just our small operation tucked away in this part of South Delhi. It isn't a massive corporate floor with fancy rugs. Most days, it is just us at our desks, surrounded by files and the sound of the overhead fan clicking. The street outside can get a bit loud with cars honking, but inside we just focus on getting the work done. We handle exports, which involves a lot of back-and-forth emails and checking on shipments that are halfway across the world. Sometimes the printer jams right when we need a manifest, or the tea gets cold because a call went on too long. That is just how it goes here. Safdarjung Enclave is a decent place to be based, even if parking is a total headache for anyone visiting. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to open the door for you; you just walk in and see us working. There is always a stack of boxes near the corner waiting to be picked up. It isn't glamorous, but it is our daily life. We’ve grown used to the quirks of this building over time. It’s just Markey Exports, doing what we do every day without making a big fuss about it. We usually close up when the sun goes down and head back home.
