S. M. Exports

S. M. Exports is tucked away at 3/63 Old Rajinder Nagar. If you know this area, you know it's full of students and small shops. We operate from a modest space. It gets a bit loud outside with the bikes and people, but we’re used to it. We deal with exports, which basically means a lot of coordination and calling up suppliers. Sometimes the orders are big, sometimes they are small. We don't really mind either way. We just want to get the goods out on time. My brother and I started this because we knew a few people in the trade. It wasn't some grand plan or anything. We just needed a way to earn a living. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of noise, but it works for what we do. We spend a lot of time double-checking lists. Mistakes are easy to make in this line of work, so we try to be careful even when we’re tired. Lunch is usually something from the corner stall. We don't have a big corporate office with fancy coffee machines. It's just us, some boxes, and a lot of logbooks. We keep things straightforward. If something can't be done, we say so. People seem to appreciate that honesty. We’ve been in Rajinder Nagar for years and know most of the neighbors. It's a simple life.
