Ria Abacus Academy is run out of Sector 9 in the Sai Baba Appartment, specifically room 602. It’s a home-based setup in Rohini, so it’s very quiet and private. We have a few tables and chairs squeezed into the main room where the kids sit. It’s a small space, but it works for what we do. We mostly focus on mental math and using the abacus. There’s a big whiteboard on the wall covered in numbers and diagrams. Since we are in an apartment building, we have to keep the noise down so we don’t bother the neighbors. The kids are usually pretty good about it once they get focused on their calculations. Parents often wait in the hallway or drop their kids off and come back later. It’s a very local thing, mostly families from around Rohini. We’ve been doing this for a while now, and the room has definitely seen a lot of use. The cushions on the chairs are a bit flat, and the rug is starting to wear out near the entrance. But it’s a comfortable place for learning. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one near the door so you know you’re in the right place. It’s simple and straightforward. We just spend our afternoons counting and helping the kids get faster with their math. Every day is about the same, just a lot of focus and quiet work in the apartment.
