Ravi Bhargav

My workspace is located at House Number 103 on Street Number 5 in Krishna Nagar. It’s part of the Safdarjung Enclave area in New Delhi. This part of the city has a lot of history and the buildings are packed quite close together. Getting a car down this street can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, so most people just walk or use scooters. The office is on the first floor. It’s got a small balcony where I keep a few dying plants and a chair for when I need some fresh air, even if it’s mostly just Delhi smog. Inside, the floor is made of old stone that stays cold in the winter. I’ve got shelves filled with folders and a desk that’s been with me since I started. It’s not a polished environment. There are wires running along the baseboards and the light flickers occasionally when the neighbor turns on their geyser. Ravi Bhargav is just the name on the door, but it’s really just a place where I spend ten hours a day working through whatever comes my way. We don't have a mission statement or any corporate goals pinned to the wall. We just try to finish the work so we can go home and beat the evening traffic. It’s a very real, everyday kind of life here. Nothing fancy, just a man and his work in a crowded Delhi street, handling things the best way we know how in our little office space.
