A.P.P.I.

Being located at the Australian High Commission in Chanakyapuri makes things a bit different for us. It’s a very quiet, secure area with lots of trees and wide roads. Not like the more crowded parts of the city. A.P.P.I. has been operating from here, and we’ve gotten used to the routine of the neighborhood. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to people, mostly. We aren't a big flashy company. It’s more about the daily tasks that keep everything running smoothly. The security gates are a part of life here. You get used to the checks after a while. Most of us have been around for several years, so we know the guards and the other folks working in the area. It feels a bit formal because of where we are, but inside the office, we’re just regular people. We have our lunch breaks together and talk about normal stuff like cricket or the weather. We don't go in for big speeches or fancy slogans. We just have a job to do and we try to do it right. It’s a nice place to work, honestly. The greenery helps when things get stressful. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with whatever comes across the desk each day. Sometimes we have to stay late, but usually, we’re out the door on time. It’s just a steady, predictable sort of place and that suits us just fine.
