Ram Chander & Sons

Ram Chander & Sons has been sitting here in the Odeon Building for a very long time. Being at D-1 in Connaught Place means we see a lot of people passing by every single day. It’s an old building and it has its quirks, like the plumbing sometimes being a bit temperamental. We sell things people need, mostly traditional stuff that’s been around for generations. The shop isn't shiny and new. It looks like it’s been lived in, because it has. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling and sometimes finding something takes a minute. But that’s part of the charm, I guess. We don't use a lot of technology here. We still prefer writing things down in ledgers when we can. The regulars know us by name and we know them. It’s a family thing, passed down through the years. We don't have a marketing department. If you want what we have, you come to CP and find the Odeon Building. It’s pretty simple. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer. It’s been the same routine for decades. Sometimes it gets noisy with the traffic outside, but inside, it feels like time slowed down a bit. We just keep doing what we know. It is just a part of the history of this old street.
