Rajendra Traders

Rajendra Traders is located at Old 136 in the Indra Market area of Subzi Mandi. If you’ve never been to the old vegetable market, it’s a total sensory overload. There are piles of produce everywhere, people shouting prices, and the ground is almost always wet. We are right in the middle of that environment. Our shop at Old 136 is an older building, and it shows its age in the cracked walls and the way the door creaks. But it serves us well. We’ve been trading here for a long time. Our days start very early, often before the sun is even up, because that’s when the market is most alive. We don’t have a fancy corporate structure or any of that. It’s mostly just us keeping track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. We use old paper ledgers because that’s what we’re comfortable with. The smell of the market—onions, potatoes, and damp earth—is something we don't even notice anymore. Rajendra Traders isn’t looking to expand into some giant empire. We just like being part of the Subzi Mandi community. It’s a tough, busy life, but there’s a certain rhythm to it that we appreciate. When the market finally quiets down in the afternoon, we sit back and prepare for the next early morning shift.
