Radix The Rock School Rock Band

If you walk over to Flat No-6 in the O & P Pocket Dda Market, you’ll find us. We are Radix The Rock School Rock Band. It’s a bit of a mouthful, but it describes what we do. We are tucked away in Dilshad Garden. Most afternoons, the place is pretty loud because that’s when the practicing happens. We have instruments all over the place and some old posters on the walls. It’s not a polished studio like you see on TV, it’s just a flat in the Dda Market where we can play and teach. A lot of kids from around the neighborhood come by after school. We also have the band side of things, where we get together and work on songs. Dilshad Garden has been our home for a long time. The O & P Pocket is a familiar spot for everyone around here. We aren't trying to be the biggest school out there. We just like music and we like showing others how to play. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the noise, so we try to keep the windows shut when it gets late. It’s a simple setup. We spend a lot of time tuning guitars and fixing drum kits. It gets a bit crowded in the flat sometimes, especially when everyone shows up at once. But it’s a good kind of busy. We just keep doing our thing every day and try to keep the instruments in working order for the students.
