R V Foods

R V Foods is situated in Kotla Mubarakpur at Shop No B/249, Meer Vihar, along the 35 Feet Road. It’s a place that is always full of different smells, depending on what we are packing or moving that day. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be smart about how we stack the crates and bags of food items. Being on 35 Feet Road means there is always a lot of foot traffic and rickshaws zipping by. We start early in the morning, usually before the sun is fully up, to get things ready for the day's customers. Most of the work is just weighing stuff out and making sure the packaging is okay. We have an old scale that we trust more than the new digital one sometimes. The floor is usually a bit dusty from flour or spices, and we spend a good amount of time sweeping up. It is just a small local operation, nothing like those big supermarkets you see in the malls. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. Sometimes the delivery guys are late, and we have to sit around and wait, which gives us time for a quick snack and a chat. We don't have any big marketing plans; we just try to keep the shelves full and the people happy with what they buy. There is a lot of noise from the street, but you get used to it after a few months of working here.
