R Computer Clinic

You can find us right across from the JNU main gate in Munirka. We are located at 401/1 ABC on Baba Gangnath Marg, specifically up at the hilltop area. It’s a busy spot because of the students and the traffic always moving toward the university. R Computer Clinic is basically a small space filled with tools, opened motherboards, and a lot of tangled cables. We spend the day looking at screens and trying to figure out why a laptop won’t turn on or why someone's hard drive is making a weird clicking sound. It gets pretty loud outside with the buses and autos, but inside it’s mostly the sound of cooling fans and tapping keys. Being right opposite JNU means we see a lot of researchers and students who are stressed out about their lost data or broken keyboards. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. You just walk in and talk to whoever is at the bench. Sometimes the shop is a bit dusty because of the road construction nearby, but that’s just how it is in this part of Delhi. We try to keep up with all the different models of computers people bring in, from old desktops to the newer thin laptops. It’s a practical kind of job. We like the neighborhood, even if the parking around Munirka is a total nightmare most of the time.
