About Queen Mary'S School – Education in New Delhi
We are located at Plot No. 4-A in Model Town-III. It’s a decent-sized plot, and the school building takes up most of it. Model Town is usually a quiet residential neighborhood, but it really wakes up when the school buses start arriving in the morning. The big iron gates at the front have been painted so many times I’ve lost count. Inside, the hallways are wide and the floors are that old-fashioned stone that stays cold. We have the girls' classrooms lined up along the corridors. Each room has big windows, though we have to keep them shut when it’s too dusty outside. There are a few trees in the corner of the grounds where the students sit during their break. They talk a lot, mostly about their classes or whatever is going on at home. The teachers are always busy walking from one room to another with their registers. We have a small office near the entrance where parents come to pay fees or ask questions. It’s a very routine sort of place. Nothing fancy, just desks, chalkboards, and a lot of students. After everyone leaves in the afternoon, the place feels almost too quiet. The cleaning staff spends a few hours sweeping up all the bits of paper and dust. It’s just a regular cycle that we’ve been doing for a long time now. We just try to keep things running smoothly without too much fuss. It works for us and the families here, and we just keep the routine going.
