Shuvam Exports

Our place is at 24/25 Punjabi Bagh-(east). It’s a decent area and a bit quieter than the main markets in the city. Shuvam Exports is run from here by a small group of us. We have been in this spot for several years now. The office is basically just a few rooms where we keep our samples and our computers. We don't do anything fancy. Most of the day is spent checking on production and making sure things are packed right for export. We walk to work or take a short rickshaw ride. The neighborhood has some nice trees, so it’s not as dusty as other parts of Delhi. We aren't a big company with a HR department or anything like that. If there is a problem, we just talk to each other and fix it. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee and sometimes eat lunch together. It’s a very plain way of working. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just want to make sure the boxes go out on time and the customers get what they asked for. The office can get a bit cluttered with all the samples laying around, but it’s a working space, not a showroom. We stay until the work is done, which sometimes means late evenings when the phones are quiet and we can finally catch up on emails. It's just a regular local business.
