Puneet Narang

This office is actually just a part of my home in the DDA Flats at Rohtash Nagar East. I’ve been working from here at 118/15 for quite a few years. It’s a quiet residential area compared to the main markets of Delhi, which I prefer. My name is Puneet Narang, and I handle most of the work myself, though sometimes I have someone helping me out with the paperwork. There isn't a big sign outside or a glass front. It’s just a door in a regular residential block. Clients usually call before they come over, and we sit in the small area I’ve set up as an office. It’s very informal. We talk about the work over a glass of water or tea. I don't use big business terms that nobody understands. I just explain things simply. My desk is usually covered in notes and old diaries. It’s a bit messy, but I have my own system. Working from the DDA flats means I’m close to my neighbors, and often they are the ones who need my help with something. It’s a small-scale way of doing things, but it’s honest and it works for me. I’ve never wanted to move to a big commercial building. This place has everything I need, and it feels more personal when people come here to discuss their needs. It’s just me doing my thing, and that's enough. I like the independence of it and the chance to help people. I often lose track of time when I'm deep into a project.
