Production Maintainance Engineer

Our workshop is located at Plot no-596 in Sector 6A. We are in Pocket-1 of the Narela area in New Delhi. I work as the production maintainance engineer here. If you know Narela, you know it’s a massive industrial hub. There are factories everywhere you look. My job is to keep the machines in our unit from breaking down. I spend a lot of time covered in grease and oil because something is always leaking or needing a new part. It’s not a clean job, but I like working with my hands and figuring out how things fit together. I’ve lived in Delhi my whole life and the noise of the machinery is just normal to me now. Our plot isn't particularly big or fancy. It’s just a functional space with a few benches and a lot of spare parts scattered around. We don't have a front desk or anyone to answer the phones. Usually, if someone needs me, they just walk into the shed and look for the guy with the wrench. The heat in these industrial sheds during the summer is really something else, but we just drink a lot of water and keep going. I’m not a big talker and I don’t care for corporate buzzwords. I just want to make sure the production line stays moving so we can all go home at the end of the day. That’s really all there is to it.
