Munchur Machines is located right here in Block 13/479 on Lodi Road. It’s a busy part of New Delhi, and honestly, the noise from the street never really stops. We spend most of our days surrounded by parts and pieces of various machines. Some of them are heavy, some are greasy, and there is always something needing to be moved from one corner to the other. Our office isn’t much to look at, just a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. The staff mostly brings lunch from home, and we sit around the small table in the back to eat and talk about whatever is on the news. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have fancy lobby furniture or a receptionist who wears a suit. Usually, you’ll find one of us with sleeves rolled up trying to figure out why a particular component isn’t fitting right. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, which is just how things go in this part of town. We’ve been at this for a while, so the routine feels comfortable. We know the neighbors, and we know which tea stall nearby makes the best chai when the afternoon slump hits. It’s just us doing our work, day in and day out, making sure the orders go out and the machines keep running like they are supposed to.
