You can find Swati Engineering Works down in Gali Number 10 in Vishwas Nagar. Shahdara is a crowded place, and our lane is no different. We are at 800-A, and you will usually hear us before you see us. The sound of metal being cut and the hum of the machines is constant from morning until evening. This is not an office job where we sit behind computers all day. We are on the shop floor, getting grease on our hands and making sure the engineering parts are made right. The workshop is packed with lathes, drills, and scraps of iron. It is a bit of a tight squeeze, but every tool has its place. We have been in this gali for a long time, and we know all the other workshop owners on the block. It is a community of people who work with their hands. Sometimes we have to move our work out onto the edge of the lane to get enough light or space for a larger piece. We do not have a fancy front desk or a sales team. If you need something fixed or fabricated, you just come into the workshop and talk to us. We keep things simple and honest. The air always smells like machine oil, and the floor is never perfectly clean, but that is just how a real engineering shop should be.
