Preet Engineering Works

Our workshop is over at Plot No 1/3556 in Tyagi Colony. It’s part of the Ram Nagar Extension area in Shahdara. If you know the neighborhood, you know it can get pretty busy around here. We’ve got the machines set up and there is usually the sound of metal being worked on throughout the day. It’s not a quiet place. We’ve been at this spot for a good bit of time. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon. We try to sweep up, but as soon as we start the next job, it’s back again. It’s just how engineering works go. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It is just the space where we get the jobs done. Sometimes the heat from the machines makes it a bit stuffy, especially in the summer months. We handle the bits and pieces people bring in. Often it’s just local folks needing something fixed or a specific part made up. We don’t talk much while we work because the noise is a bit much. Tyagi Colony has been our home base for a while now. We know the other shop owners on this stretch. We grab tea from the stall nearby when we get a break. The entrance can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for the number. We just keep our heads down and finish what's on the bench. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
