Pragati Engineering Works

Pragati Engineering Works is located deep inside Gali No 8 in the Shahdara Friends Colony industrial area. Being right off the GT Road makes it easy for transport, but the lane itself is always crowded with carts and motorcycles. We have been operating from this same spot for years. The shop is filled with lathes, drill presses, and a lot of scrap metal piled in the corners. It’s a bit cramped, to be honest. We do a lot of machining work for the local factories. Sometimes a guy comes in with a broken part from a machine and asks if we can make a new one just like it. We spend a lot of time measuring things with calipers and making sure the threads are correct. It’s precision work but done in a very dusty environment. The oil smell is everywhere. We don't have a fancy catalog or a sales department. If someone needs engineering work done, they usually just walk into the shop and talk to us directly. We show them what we can do on the machines we have. Sometimes we are working late into the evening if a big order is due the next morning. It’s hard on the back and the hands get stained with grease that never quite comes off. But it’s what we do. We just keep the tools sharp and the machines oiled and try to keep up with the work that comes through the door every day.
