Aakarshan Boutique

Our boutique is on the first floor, Shop No. 160, located on Plot No. 3 in Pitampura. You have to walk up a narrow set of stairs to find us, which can be a bit tricky if you are carrying bags. It’s a cozy little space that we’ve filled with as many clothes as possible. We have mirrors on almost every wall so people can see how things look from every angle when they try them on. Sometimes the curtains for the changing area get stuck, so we have to give them a little tug to close them. We do a mix of custom stitching and selling ready-to-wear outfits that we keep on the racks. It’s mostly just me and one other person helping out with the sewing and the alterations. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and pins, though we try to sweep it every evening before we lock up. We have a small table where we sit and drink chai while we talk to customers about what they want for their next event. It’s not a high-end designer studio; it’s more of a neighborhood shop where people feel comfortable and relaxed. We often have music playing on a small radio in the corner to keep things lively during the day. The building itself is a bit old, but we’ve tried to make our shop look decent enough. It’s a lot of work keeping up with all the orders, but we just do our best.
