Phulkari Punjab Govt Emporium

Our place is at C 6 Baba Kharak Singh Marg. This street is famous for all the different state emporiums, and we have been here representing Punjab for a long time. It’s a big space filled with a lot of traditional work. You’ll see a lot of embroidery and colorful fabrics everywhere you look. Even though we are a government-run spot, we try to keep it feeling friendly and approachable. The staff here knows a lot about the items we have on the shelves because many of us have been around them our whole lives. It gets busy when tourists come through, but we also have locals who stop by because they know they can find what they need here. The building itself is an older style, which fits with what we have inside. We don’t do much in the way of modern displays or high-tech stuff. It’s just rows of items and people who can help you find something. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles on the really hot Delhi days, but we manage. We aren’t here to sell you a dream, just to show you the work that people back in Punjab have been doing for generations. It’s a simple setup on a famous road. We take pride in the items we stock, but we don't feel the need to shout about it. We just open the doors every morning and wait for people to walk in. It's how we do things.
