Paramount Seeds & Chemicals

You can find us at number 12 in the Old Sabzi Mandi area, right on the Main Bazar road. Being near the Ram Dwar Mandir means there’s always a crowd and plenty of activity. Paramount Seeds & Chemicals is tucked in there amongst all the other stalls and shops. It’s a lot of lifting heavy bags and making sure everything is labeled right. The smell of the market is everywhere, a mix of vegetables and earth. We spend most of the day talking to folks who come in from the surrounding areas looking for specific seeds or something to help their plants grow. The shop is full of sacks and plastic containers stacked up to the ceiling. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is kept. Sometimes the rain makes the street a mess, but the market never really stops. We open early because that’s when the growers are out and about. It’s a lot of dusty work and my hands are usually dirty by noon. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop here in Subzi Mandi. People know us by word of mouth mostly. We just keep the inventory stocked and wait for the seasonal rush to hit. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s how we’ve always operated here. The door stays open as long as there is light outside and people on the street.
