You’ll find Sanjay Export Company right at 47 Main Bazar in Pahar Ganj. If you’ve been to this area, you know it’s one of the most crowded and energetic places around. There are tourists and locals everywhere, and the noise never really stops. Our shop is right in the middle of all that chaos. We’ve been here a long time, and we’ve seen the market change through the years. It’s a small space, and we have stuff stacked up to the ceiling most days. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and making sure our exports are ready for the trucks. Sometimes we have to move things quickly before the rain starts, which is always a bit of a scramble. The shop gets dusty because of the constant foot traffic outside, so we’re always wiping things down. We don't have a fancy lounge or anything. We just have a couple of stools and a desk that is buried under papers. Pahar Ganj is a unique place to work because there is always something happening right outside the door. We usually drink chai from the stall across the way while we wait for deliveries. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we know. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a few of us who have been working together for years. It’s a tough environment but we like the pace of it.
