Group Exports

Operating out of a basement in Wazir Singh Gali is a bit of an experience. If you’ve been to Chuna Mandi in Paharganj, you know how crowded it gets. Group Exports is located at No. 1855, and finding us usually involves navigating past a lot of rickshaws and street vendors. Being in a basement means we don't get much natural light, so we rely on those bright tube lights all day long. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock moving, but we make it work. The area is always noisy, with people shouting and horns honking, but after a while, you just stop hearing it. We’ve been here long enough that the local chai wallah knows exactly how we like our tea. Most of our day is spent handling exports and making sure everything is packed right. It gets dusty, being so close to the main road, so we’re always wiping down the desks. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to step outside for a bit of air until the generator kicks in. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a bunch of us working in a busy part of Delhi. We handle a lot of different items and there’s always something new to deal with every morning. It's a lot of manual work and checking lists over and over. We don't have a big staff, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering phones to moving boxes.
