Our place is at Plot No. B-91 in Mayapuri Industrial Area Phase I. If you’ve ever been to Mayapuri, you know it’s a tough, working-class part of Delhi where something is always being built or moved. Orient Resin & Pigment Industries is right in the thick of all that metal and noise. We deal with resins and pigments, so our floors usually have a bit of dust on them and there’s always a smell of industrial materials in the air. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. Most of the time, we’re busy coordinating with drivers or checking the batches we’ve got stored in the back. The roads around here can be a real mess with all the heavy lorries, especially when it rains. We’ve been in this spot for years and we know all the neighbors. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially when there’s a big order to get out of the door. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations; the shelves are full of files and samples instead. Usually, the office is a bit of a mess with papers everywhere, but we know where everything is. It’s a straightforward operation. We focus on getting the pigments and resins ready for whoever needs them next. It’s loud, it’s dusty, and it’s busy, but that is just how an industrial area like this is supposed to feel.
