Organic Acres

Organic Acres is tucked away at 3/11 Shanti Niketan. It’s a quieter area than the main commercial hubs, which actually suits what we do quite well. We aren't a big supermarket or a noisy factory. This is more of a home-base for our organic produce operations. Most of our day involves checking on deliveries from the farms and sorting through crates of vegetables and fruits. Since we’re in a more residential-feeling spot, we try to keep the noise down. We don’t have big trucks roaring in at midnight. It’s usually just a few of us moving boxes and checking the quality of the soil or the greens. The place often smells like fresh earth or whatever herbs came in that morning. We keep a lot of records on paper because it’s just easier for us to track things that way. It’s not a high-tech setup. We have a couple of wooden tables where we do the sorting and a small fridge for the stuff that can't sit out. Sometimes neighbors come by to see what’s fresh, and we have a chat over the crates. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just know a lot about plants and how they grow. It’s a simple life, really. We spend most of our time making sure the stuff we get is actually good enough to send out. If it’s bruised or doesn't look right, it doesn't go in the box.
