Nitin Fertiliser Corporation

We are located in the Amba Deep Building, room 802, right on K G Marg in Connaught Place. Being in CP is different from being in a local market, but Nitin Fertiliser Corporation is still a practical business. We spend a lot of time on the phones and dealing with suppliers. Even though we are in a high-rise, we are talking about soil and crops all day. It’s an interesting contrast. The office is usually full of maps and sample bags. It’s not a very large space, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent tracking shipments and checking price lists. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The elevators in this building are always slow, which is a bit of a pain. We have a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets. It’s mostly administrative work that happens here. We don't actually keep the bags of fertiliser in the office, of course. That's all handled at the warehouses. Here, it’s just the three of us managing the orders and the accounts. It can get pretty stressful when the planting season starts and everyone needs their supplies at once. We just drink a lot of chai and keep typing away. Lunch is usually a quick tiffin at the desk because it's too busy to go down. Most people don't visit us here, they mostly call or send emails.
