Nisi Creations

Our work happens at No. 504 Dakha House, which is located in the 18 / 19 WEA area on Pusa Lane in Karol Bagh. It’s a busy building in a very busy part of town. If you know Karol Bagh, you know how Pusa Lane can get with all the people and the shops. We are up in room 504, so we are a bit removed from the street level chaos. Nisi Creations is where we handle our design and production work. It’s a functional space with tables, machines, and rolls of fabric sitting around. We don't have a big reception desk or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just find us working on whatever project is currently on the table. The lighting in the building is okay, but we have extra lamps for the detailed work. It’s a lot of hours spent sitting and focusing on the small details. Sometimes the lift in Dakha House is slow, so we end up taking the stairs. We have a small group of people here who have been working together for a long time. We just get on with the job and try to keep things moving. It’s a noisy neighborhood, but once you are inside the office, we just focus on the task at hand. We also spend time checking the fabrics that arrive every week. It’s a lot of sorting and making sure everything is where it should be before we start cutting. It’s just how we run things.
