Nilakanta Nayak

My place is in I P Extension, specifically at A/701/17 in Patparganj. It’s an apartment complex, so there is a bit of a community vibe with people coming and going in the elevators. I do my work from here, which means my commute is basically just walking into the next room. The space is filled with my equipment and a lot of papers that I need to keep track of for various jobs. Patparganj is a busy part of Delhi, but being up on the seventh floor helps block out some of the street noise. I’ve lived and worked in this area for a good while now, so I’m used to the way things go around here. Sometimes the power flickers or the lift is being repaired, but you just deal with those things. My day usually starts with a cup of tea and looking over my list of things to do. I don’t have a fancy reception or a lobby, it’s just a functional workspace within my home. It’s a practical arrangement that works for me. Most of my clients are people I’ve known for years or folks who were referred by friends. I don't feel the need for big advertisements or a corporate image. It’s just me, Nilakanta, doing my work and trying to stay on top of all the little details that come up every day.
