You can find us at C 18 on the Masood Pur Main Road. The shop is called New Jagdamba Paints And Hardware Stores. It is a very busy place because the main road is always full of cars and people moving about. We have a lot of heavy things in the shop, like big cans of paint and boxes of metal hardware. There is always a layer of dust on everything because of all the construction and the traffic outside. We spend a lot of time helping people find specific types of screws or the right shade of paint for their walls. The shelves are packed tight, so you have to be careful when you are walking around so you don't knock anything over. It is not a fancy store by any means. We have old wooden counters and the floor is made of rough concrete. The light inside isn't very bright, but we know where everything is even in the dark. In the summer, the heat from the road comes right inside, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or contractors working on houses in the area. We don't do much in terms of promotion; we just stay open and wait for people to come in with their lists of things they need. It is hard work and my clothes usually have some dust on them, but it is what we know how to do.
