New Horizons Tuition Classes

We run New Horizons Tuition Classes over in Vasant Kunj, specifically near Sector-A, Pocket B and C. It started out quite small, just a couple of us helping out a few neighborhood kids with their schoolwork after they finished for the day. Since then, it has grown a little, but we still keep that same informal feel. Our rooms are filled with wooden benches and whiteboards that have seen better days. There is always a faint smell of dry-erase markers in the air. We do not go for any of that high-tech fancy equipment you see in the big tutoring centers downtown. We find that a simple pen and paper work just fine for explaining math or grammar. The kids come here after their regular school, so they are often a bit tired, but we try to keep them focused on their books. We spend a lot of time going over the basics because that is usually where they get stuck. It is not about being the best in the city; it is just about helping them get through their exams without too much stress or worry. We talk to the parents when they come to pick up their children, usually just standing out on the sidewalk for a bit. It is a very relaxed way of doing things. We do not have a big office or a secretary. If the phone rings, one of us just picks it up between our lessons. Vasant Kunj is nice.
