Tractable Overseas

Being in 205 Harsha Bhavan at Nehru Place means you’re always in the middle of a crowd. Tractable Overseas is tucked away on the second floor, right where the 64-65 block is. It’s a bit of a walk up, and the building has that old Delhi feel to it. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and computers. We spend our time looking at logistics and making sure things are moving across borders like they should. Nehru Place is famous for tech, but here we are focusing on overseas trade. It gets loud in the afternoons when the market outside is at its peak. We usually have a radio playing low in the background to drown out some of the honking. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with files to worry about that. It’s a small group of us here. We don’t wear suits or anything; mostly just comfortable clothes because the air conditioning can be temperamental. Sometimes we have to stay late because of the time differences with other countries. We grab food from the stalls downstairs and eat while we work. It’s not a polished lifestyle, but it’s our daily reality. We’ve been here long enough that the security guards know us by name. It’s just a regular office doing regular things. There is always a new problem to solve with a shipping route or a missing document, but we just push through until it's sorted out properly.
