We’ve been at Nehru Place for a while now, up on the fourth floor of Ansal Tower in unit 423. People know us as Addeco Recutiment Aggency Pvt. Ltd., but we’re just a small team working here. Most days are spent looking through resumes and talking to people who need jobs. It gets a bit hectic when the phones start ringing all at once. We handle a lot of the paperwork and interviews that companies don't have time for themselves. Sometimes the office feels small when there are many applicants waiting in the chairs by the door, but we make do with what we have. Dealing with recruitment means meeting all sorts of people, some who are ready to work tomorrow and others who still need to figure things out for their lives. We don't try to be fancy or look like a huge firm. We just sit at our desks and try to match the right person to the right opening. It’s a lot of sorting through emails and making sure names are spelled right in the files. The lift in the building is sometimes slow or breaks down, so we tell people to come a few minutes early if they can. Most of the staff here has been around for years, so we know how the local market moves. It's not a glamorous job, sitting in an office all day under fluorescent lights, but it’s what we do. We help fill the gaps in offices around the city. Usually, the coffee machine is running and we’re just getting through the pile of applications. That’s how it goes here every day.
