J K Cement Ltd.

We’ve been working out of Padam Tower at the DDA Community Centre for a long time now. It’s unit number 19. People around here usually know where we are if they’ve been in the trade for a bit. J K Cement Ltd. is what we go by, and we mostly just focus on getting the work done day in and day out. Sometimes the office gets a bit busy with folks coming in and out, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with something as heavy as cement. It isn't a flashy place, just a regular office where we handle the paperwork and coordinate things. Most of our days are spent talking to drivers or checking on orders to make sure everything is moving like it’s supposed to. We don't really do much in the way of big speeches or fancy ads. We just show up at the Community Centre, get the desk sorted, and start the day. The building is easy to find once you get into the area. It feels like a second home to a lot of us who have been here for years. You learn the rhythms of the building, who comes in early, and when the tea guy arrives. It's just a straightforward operation. We handle the supply side of things and try to keep the numbers straight so the projects don't stall. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy.
