Narender Pal Singh

I am Narender Pal Singh and you can find me over at the Patiala House Court on Tilak Marg. Specifically, I am in the District Court building in Chamber Number 344. It is a very busy place to work, with people constantly running around the hallways and the sound of typewriters or printers going off all the time. My chamber is not very large, but it is packed with law books, folders, and stacks of papers that seem to grow every week. I have spent many years navigating these courts and dealing with the various legal matters that come through the door. It is a lot of reading and writing, and sometimes spending hours waiting for a case to be called up. The heat in the summer can be tough in these old buildings, but we manage with the ceiling fans. People come to me when they are stuck in a tough spot or need some paperwork sorted out. I try to give them a straight answer without using too many complicated words. It is a demanding life being at the court every day, but it is what I know. Tilak Marg is a central part of the city, so there is always something happening outside. Between the court sessions and meeting people in the chamber, there is never really a quiet moment. It is just the reality of working in the legal system here in Delhi.
