Silk Arena

Our shop, Silk Arena, is located at A-50 and 51 in Brahmpuri Phase 1. We are right on the Nagloi Nazafgarh Road, which is always packed with cars and buses. The noise from the road never really stops. We have a decent amount of space since we took over both units. Most of what we do involves silk, so the shop is full of bright colors and different textures. It is a bit of a contrast to the dusty road outside. We spend a lot of time unfolding and refolding fabrics for people who come in. Sometimes the floor gets covered in bits of thread and we have to sweep it out three or four times a day. We don't have a big corporate team. It is just a few of us who know the business. We have been here long enough that the local tea seller knows exactly how we like our chai. It is not a high-end boutique with soft music playing. It is a working shop where we handle the goods and talk to the customers directly. Some days the heat is a bit much, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. We don't make big promises, we just show people the silk we have and let them decide. It is a simple way of doing things that has kept us going all this time.
