Vaishnavi Fashions

We are based at No. 54 in Old Roshan Pura, over in Najafgarh. It’s a busy part of town, and our shop is right in the middle of all the action. We do fashions, which mostly means we have a lot of clothes piled up. It's a bit of a mess sometimes, honestly. We have racks that are a bit too full and hangers that sometimes get tangled. But that's just because we try to have a bit of everything for everyone who stops by. We aren't a big store with fancy lighting. Most of the light comes from the front door when it's open. I started this shop because I wanted to work for myself. It’s been a few years now, and we are still here. Some days the rain makes the street muddy, and people don't want to come in. Other days it's so hot that nobody wants to move. We just stay open and wait. We have a small bench outside where I sit when there are no customers. I talk to the vegetable seller next door and we share some snacks. It's a local life. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to sell some clothes and make enough to pay the bills. It's hard work, but it feels good to be our own boss. If you're in Najafgarh, you might see us there at number 54. We usually close up when the sun goes down because the streetlights aren't very bright around here. It's been a good journey so far.
