Mrs Kaurs Premium Cookies

Mrs Kaurs Premium Cookies is located inside the Arcade E gallery in the middle lane of Khan Market. It is a small space but the smell of baking usually fills up the whole hallway. We spend most of the morning mixing dough and watching the ovens to make sure nothing burns. Khan Market is a very busy place with lots of shoppers, so we see all kinds of people walking past our glass door. The shop has a few shelves where we put out the different types of cookies we made that day. We don't use any big industrial machines, just a regular kitchen setup that gets pretty hot during the summer. We have to be careful with the glass jars because the gallery is a bit narrow and people sometimes bump into things. It is hard work staying on our feet all day, especially when we have a big batch to get out before the evening rush. We usually have flour on our aprons by noon and the floor needs sweeping every hour to keep it looking tidy. People come in looking for something sweet after they have had lunch nearby. We just pack the cookies into simple bags and chat with the regulars who have been coming to us for years. It is a nice little spot and we take pride in the fact that we do everything ourselves right there in the middle lane.
