Mohd Yaseen & Sons

Mohd Yaseen & Sons is an office located at R-10 on the first floor in the Joga Bai Extension. This is right in the Batla House area of Jamia Nagar. It’s a family-run thing, so there is usually one of the sons or the father sitting at the desk. The office isn't very big, just enough for a few chairs and some computers. We have a balcony that looks out over the street, and it’s usually pretty loud with all the bikes and people walking below. We started out small and we’ve just stayed in this same spot. The walls are covered with old calendars and some photos from over the years. We don't really do any advertising. Most people who come here are neighbors or people who heard about us from someone else. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and discussing the work that needs to be done. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, though we do get busy in the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. We don't have a corporate structure or anything. It’s just a father and his sons trying to keep the business going. If you come by, you’ll probably find us arguing about something or other, but that’s just how we are. We like being in Jamia Nagar. It’s home for us and our business has always been a part of the community here.
