We are located on the 3rd floor of building 9/9 on Road Number 11 in Tuglakabad Extension. It’s a bit of a climb if the power is out and the lift isn't working, which happens sometimes. Our office looks out over the rooftops of the extension, and you can see the laundry hanging out and the water tanks on every building. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze of boxes and desks. We trade in a variety of items, so you never know what might be sitting in the hallway on any given day. The walls are covered with calendars and notes we’ve pinned up so we don't forget things. We use old-fashioned calculators that have the little paper rolls because we like having a physical record of the numbers. It’s a noisy neighborhood, but once you’re up on the 3rd floor, it quietens down a little bit. We usually have a pot of tea going, and there is always a packet of biscuits open somewhere. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and trying to coordinate deliveries through the narrow streets below. It can be a headache when the delivery trucks get stuck in traffic, which is almost every day. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby; you just walk right into the middle of the work. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us. We’ve been in this spot for several years and know all the local delivery guys by name.
