Modern Public School

Modern Public School sits right on the Mathura Road in Sector-37. It is a very busy spot in the district, so there is always a lot of traffic and noise right outside our walls. The school building is a big concrete structure that stands out among the other shops and offices in the area. When you walk inside, you leave the honking of the cars behind, though you can still hear the rumble of the heavy trucks. We have several floors of classrooms and a main area where we hold the morning assembly. The stairs are a bit narrow, so it gets crowded when the classes change and everyone is moving at once. We have a small playground, but it is not as big as we would like it to be, so the physical education teachers have to be creative with the space. The desks in the rooms are the standard wooden ones, and some of them have names carved into the corners from students who were here years ago. Our staff is mostly busy with the daily grind of checking attendance and making sure the students stay on track with their work. It is a busy place from eight in the morning until the afternoon when the buses line up outside to take everyone home. We just keep things moving one day at a time here on Mathura Road.
