Mata Jai Kaur Public School

Mata Jai Kaur Public School is just a regular part of the neighborhood in Ph-3, Ashok Vihar. We’ve been at this same spot for quite a while now. Every morning, the yellow buses start moving through the streets early. It is a big, solid building, and we try our best to keep everything running without too much trouble. The gates open up at the same time every day, and there is usually a lot of noise until the first bell rings. Teachers walk in with their bags, and parents are always dropping off kids right at the corner. It is a busy place to be. We aren’t doing anything very fancy here, just sticking to the books and making sure the desks stay in their rows. The playground can get pretty dusty when the summer heat hits, but that is just part of being in Delhi. Ashok Vihar is a settled area, so many of our families live just a few blocks away. Some of the older kids walk here, and others take the local rickshaws. We deal with the usual school stuff, like fixing a leaky tap or replacing broken chalk. It is just the way a school works. We have been at this address for years, so people know where to find us. It’s not a flashy place, just a school where we do the work. The hallways are long and they get loud during the breaks, but we just focus on the day-to-day things.
