I’m Manoj Sharma and I’ve got my setup here in a DDA flat in Hauz Khas. The flat number is 103, and if you know Delhi, you know Hauz Khas can be quite a busy place to be. It’s a bit of a mix here, with the old village area and the newer flats all mashed together. I like being in a DDA flat because it feels more like a home than a cold office building. My work happens right in the middle of the living space mostly. There are books and papers everywhere, and the kettle is usually always on. It’s not the kind of place where you need to wear a tie. I just wake up, have my tea, and start on the day’s tasks. Living and working in the same spot in New Delhi saves me from that terrible traffic everyone complains about. People usually just drop by when they are in the area. It is a very casual way of doing things, but the work gets done nonetheless. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy outside with the neighbors or the street vendors, but that’s just part of the charm of living in Delhi. I’ve been here for a while and don’t plan on moving anytime soon. It’s a practical way to live and it keeps me connected to the local vibe of the city without having to deal with the corporate world.
